We of course will be doing some celebrating with our members, offering many prizes, giveaways, and bonuses.

In addition some of our friends in the traffic exchange world have expressed congratulations and wanted to do some joint promotions, which of course we enjoy doing. Early Saturday morning we will send an email with the details to kick off the celebration this weekend.

One of our latest and ongoing projects is the Power Surf Central system. This began as a conversation between Paula of Hit Safari and myself about how we could best reward our most loyal and consistent members.

So it began with the Power Surf Central Rewards system. A way for us to reward members with daily, weekly, and monthly bonuses automatically. Plus the option to invite other guests exchanges periodically for even more rewards.

With the rewards system tested, up and running, we began to think, why not add some free viral content that members could use to build their business, traffic, and subscriber lists?

In order to do this, we wanted to provide not only the free branded viral ebooks, but a way to deliver them with ease and simplicity. Including a splash page to promote them. The customary issue of offering re-branding kits in zip files, plus all the steps needed were just not the route we wished to take.

Lo and behold, out of those discussions and a few hours of searching and work, completely out of ashes arose the Power Surf Central Resource Center.

A system for our members to rebrand the viral reports easily without hassle, plus a means to deliver those branded viral reports to their potential or current customers with an affiliate link. No need to upload anything to their sites, in fact no need to have a site. The affiliate link is the splash page for delivery.

Though both rewards and resource systems are live, we continue to add more. Who knows at this point where this is headed or what might be added in the near future. Know that it’s only just begun, we are not out of ideas yet.

Speaking of working with Paula, it has been a complete pleasure to this point. In fact our very first project together was what we like to refer to as “our” kids. This started back in January and is a lifelong commitment to these children, through the Lift One Project and Children International.

We like to think we are helping these children but honestly when I read their mail and post cards, they give back more, things money can’t buy.

In tomorrow’s email, as part of the Soaring4Traffic celebration, we will be offering our members a way to not only earn for themselves, but a way for us to contribute extra monetary gifts to “our kids”.

While that might be one way to earn some extra cash using traffic exchanges, there are other ways also.

You already know my answer, right? Build your list! I’m betting that the winners in the referral contest either had their list or used the contest to build one.

Oh my gosh, how do you do that? Simple answer is, create a page to capture leads, give away free products to get them on your list and follow up with information they need and deserve! Referrals

It is now possible to see who your upgraded members are in your downline. This feature color codes the upgraded members, places them at the top for a quick review. With this information you may want to reward them with credits, or see the value in upgrading yourself. Just good info to have.

Power Surf Central

Our joint venture with Hit Safari where we have come up with the solution to reward our most active members, daily, weekly and monthly. Long time in coming but now live and tested. This program is not a drawing. Everyone who surfs 100 sites at both Hit Safari and Soaring4Traffic each day receive the rewards.

Surf 100 sites at each exchange 5 days out of 7 and get additional weekly rewards. Surf 100 sites at both exchanges 20 days during a calendar month, receive even more additional rewards.

It is not necessary to surf both at once, but both must be surfed within the same 24 hour period to receive the extra benefits. Power Surf Central rewards are in addition to normal bonus credits, prizes won or drawings that may be in effect on each exchange at various times.

Requirement is a one time setup using the Hit Safari traffic exchange downline builder. Entering your referral ID’s for both exchanges there is the only requirement for setup. From that point on, everything is automatic. Rewards for daily are given at the end of each day, weekly given each Monday, and Monthly given at the end of each month.

Soaring4Traffic Surf Console

New options have been added to the traffic exchange downline builder which directly affects the Surf Center Console, Soaring4Traffic’s unique feature. It is now possible to place up to 5 different priorities. Grouping your traffic exchanges, for better management and control of your surfing. Of course it still keeps record of last date and time surfed.

Our traffic exchange Downline Builder/Surf Center has been key lately in more of our new features and updates. We are not done yet, more is being done to as we write this. Updating your referral info in Soaring4Traffic’s downline builders, yes both of them is important already, but will be even more important in the very near future.

Run don’t walk, update your referral ID’s in all programs you are a member of. We are not suggesting you join every program listed, but we are suggesting you update your current ones for sure, and later should you see the benefit to join others, it would be an awesome place to start.

April Joint Referral Contest

Our April joint referral contest with Hit Pirate, Hit Safari, RealHitz4u and Soaring4Traffic has been a huge success. Thousands of new members have joined these exchanges this month. New members to see your sites. That’s always a good thing!

As of this writing, 9 days remain, still plenty of time for those interested to get in the top 7 in each exchange. Plenty of cash to go around for your efforts. Follow the rules and promote, thats all it takes.

Though not new in April, the OptIn Button added to Soaring4Traffic has increased signups for everyone using it. Some as much as 50% or more. Again, just another awesome feature to create better results for our membership. If you are building a list and not using it, then it goes without saying you could do better with it!

That might not be all we’ve done lately, but it should cover the most important ones. Several new little tweaks and updates are always being done in the background to improve our members daily experience.

Of course we are not done, look for more in the very near future. Likely most will become a standard for most traffic exchanges if not already. It’s all about advertising, building your business, we just want to provide the best tools to accomplish it.

It is such a basic concept, yet so few internet marketers actually follow through with it. If you want to get results you need to be willing to put in the effort. It is nice to have an endless amount of freedom by having your own business, but you will get nowhere if you do not put in the time.

It is true that there are countless responsibilities and tasks that you need to take care of with your business. But if you want to create website traffic you need to be devoted to your marketing. Promoting your website a few times a week is not going to get the job done. You need to be willing to promote your website at least two to three hours every day.

If you are doing article marketing to generate traffic, try to write a certain amount of articles every day and then submit them to a certain amount of directories. This can be writing five articles and submitting them to ten directories. You have control over what type of results you get from your marketing. If you want to create website traffic, invest the time and energy it takes to do so.

If one of your methods is traffic exchanges, you must spend the time each day to ensure your sites are being seen 24/7. Blogging, social sites, and all of the above and previous articles we have written recently about website traffic require consistency and dedication.

Unfortunately traffic does not appear out of nowhere. It has been said that people need to see a message several times before they comprehend it. Therefore, get your message across to them as many times as you can.

In doing some research over the last year, yes takes me a while to get up the nerve, I have been discussing these with online friends and other program owners. Now, I don’t profess to know all there is to know about them, however I do and am seeing some rather outstanding results. The amazing thing to me is how easy it is to become involved.

Let me explain. The requirements to become a “contributor” is that you have a free product to give away, either your own product or one you have the rights too. Prime example would be an e-book that you have written or one you have rights to re-brand and give away. It doesn’t have to be an e-book, can be any product or service but should be something viral to continue working for you forever.

The real beauty of this is two fold, first to build your subscriber list, second by offering a product that keeps on giving. The example above, an e-book that contains your referral links that can be downloaded by all members with the permission they may also give it away or use it as a bonus for their own programs. Are you starting to see the “viral” aspect here? This means that long after the event is over the product is still working for you.

Two things you’ll need to make this work effectively for you. A lead capture page so that members can sign up to get your free product. Then a download page for the product, or some might call it a “thank you” page. If you’re not sure how to do that, read the previous post, contains a great resource that explains in detail exactly how.

Now what I have noticed is that the really “know it alls” not only give the product they are advertising but several other products as bonuses, again products or services they own or have rights too.

Someone I’ve been following this last year is Guido Nussbaum, my only regret is that I didn’t get involved in his last year’s Easter JV Giveaway event. Guido has been a successful online marketer for years now and recently became a fellow traffic exchange owner, which of course means I pay more attention to what he’s doing..

This year I joined as a contributor in Guido’s Easter JV Giveaway 2009 event and highly recommend you do the same! In 2008 it was one of the largest list building events and from all indications, 2009 will be even bigger.

You can join as a contributor absolutely free, but there are huge advantages for upgrading. The system works on a point system, meaning the more points you have, higher up the ladder your offer is displayed. Upgrading adds points, but there are other ways to gain points as you will see.

You can join as a contributor now or wait until the site opens for general membership around the 7th of April! Huge advantages both ways!

As a contributor members will be allowed to download your viral list building product. Keep in mind the “big shot guru’s” will be sending thousands of people to this event.

As a member you will have access to more free downloads than you could possibly read or use until next years event! Your choice but I do suggest the contributor option for tons of free website traffic, list building and good old fashioned branding.

Did I say huge event? As of this writing, in only the first few days, there are over 1250 contributors already! Not sure when the doors will be closed to new contributors.

However, the same rules apply, no matter what your choice is. The page must load quickly, it needs a good headline to attract attention and of course it should include your name, a subscribe form and/or a join button if that is more favorable for your site.

Of course this now leads us into the next step as promised in the last post. The two (2) main purposes and uses for effective advertising in traffic exchanges.

First is the, what I like to call “recognition” factor, or as some have described it, “branding“. The branding part is rather simple. Your name, photo or logo should be on every site you use in traffic exchanges. Most prefer to use their photo, however if that makes you uncomfortable, create a logo, an image that you have the rights to. Use it on all your sites, including your real name.

People want to know you. It builds trust, recognition, and leads them to believe you are an authority in your field of expertise. Prime example, everyone knows who Coke, Pepsi, and Budweiser are through their continuous advertising/branding campaigns.

One of the best examples of branding themselves in traffic exchange advertising from my personal experience is Tony Tezak. When I first started using traffic exchanges about 5 years ago, this guy’s face and name was on every site I used. You absolutely could not miss him if you were surfing traffic exchanges. After a while, felt like I knew the man personally.

If you have been using traffic exchanges for any length of time, you have seen him also. He continues this process on a daily basis. Hopefully this enlightens you on the first important use of traffic exchanges.

Second purpose and probably more important is …here it comes again, “building your list“!

The simple answer for this is, do both at the same time. Place your name, photo, and subscribe form on a quick loading splash page. Of course this does require a small amount of expertise in using an autoresponder with follow up emails and some knowledge in graphics and writing bullet points for your page.

Creating a splash/lead capture page is a learning process well worth the short amount of time and effort. Once you have the first one created, like all things, changing, tweaking, creating new ones become much easier.

Little hint about the book, but it would require an upgrade. Not only is the whole process explained in detail, but you also have access to pre-written emails and the product to begin building your list.

Remember when advertising in traffic exchanges who you are advertising too. What do they need, what would peak their interest? Perhaps more website traffic, tools, programs, and or some solid advice for improving their methods and techniques for more website traffic.

So now you know the only two things you should concentrate your traffic exchange advertising on for more effective website traffic. Branding and Building Your List

This not only applies to traffic exchanges. This should be applied to all website traffic methods and ideas we’ve discussed in previous posts, but certainly of utmost importance in traffic exchanges.

Now, I am not going to rant and rave that my methods are the best, but in my personal experience, I do want to bring up some points for your consideration. With these ideas, my desire is that you will begin to think about what you are advertising, who you’re advertising too, and how you are using traffic exchanges to advertise for more website traffic.

First point is the amount of time you have to make an impression or grab attention. The average traffic exchange surf timer is now approximately 10 seconds, some lower, some higher. However, to be honest that really doesn’t matter. In reality you only have about 2 or 3 seconds to grab someone’s attention.

Time to think, does your site take forever to load, does it load with the 10 seconds allotted? Are you using blogger or wordpress on their platform to create your site? If so you are probably missing out big time as they load very slowly and frankly have too much info which confuses people rather than attracting them.

Plus, lets don’t even talk about the fact that most blogs have adsense ads which not only lead people away from your site, but advertised in traffic exchanges will get your adsense account suspended, not IF but WHEN.

Solution for more website traffic to your blog! Load the blog software to your own personal domain. Create a splash page that loads quickly with valid reasons why someone should click the link and visit your blog. Better yet, create a lead capture page so that people can subscribe to your blog updates.

Use the blog as your way of keeping subscribers up to date on your activities, recommendations and reviews. Advertise the splash page or lead capture page in traffic exchanges, not your blog!

And here it is again, that dreaded phrase, yet one that most successful traffic exchange members use for better results. “Build Your List!”

The same formula applies not only to blogs, but also long sales letters or any site that requires a long load time or is packed with tons of content and information. Keep it simple is the motto. Loads fast, to the point and interesting enough to create a click through.

Most affiliate pages fall in this category. First they are not designed for rapid site views, plus there are likely thousands of others promoting the same page, so you personally do not stand out nor attract as much attention as you need and desire.

Hopefully this has given you something to think about or perhaps a new idea for using traffic exchanges for more effective website traffic with better results. As a traffic exchange owner, I have a vested interest in your success. Its another favorite but true statement.. “If you don’t succeed, neither do I”

There are only two things to concentrate on when advertising in traffic exchanges. Those will be discussed in the next article.

This just happens to be my favorite and most effective method for online website traffic.

Traffic exchanges in this sense described as “manual traffic exchanges”. A simple formula as the name implies. You view my sites in exchange I will view yours.

The idea behind this tactic is to share and receive traffic from other members within the same network. Visitors will be able to look at information from your site and in turn, you can view theirs.

The great thing about traffic exchanges is that most are free. This is a great way to increase your website traffic without having to spend a penny. You have the ability to generate thousands of hits per day to your website just through these programs.

Another great thing about traffic exchange programs is that they give you the opportunity to gain as many views of your site as you can handle. By spending a little time each day in an organized fashion, traffic to your site can be attained 24/7.

Of course, what and how you advertise on traffic exchanges can make all the difference. Future articles will delve more deeply into the best options for more effectiveness.

The one thing you do need to be cautious about with these kinds of programs is there are scams to be wary of. Most in the paid to click, auto surf, or paid to surf category.

Just like every other type of business or program on the internet there are the legitimate opportunities and the not so good. But if you take the time to research and find a quality traffic exchange program, you will be able to drastically increase your online website traffic.

People are beginning to realize that the get rich quick and make money over night offers are nothing more than a scam. You are not fooling anyone by offering this. Instead, start looking at the questions people have and start offering them solutions to these questions.

You will be amazed at the type of results you can get just by looking in forums. Forums are filled with people asking questions and wanting advice. You can take these posts and come up with a way to satisfy the person asking the question.

While it is not always easy to come up with a brand new idea or product, you can take things that have already been invented and display it in a new light. Twist an idea around and profit from it in some other way.

It may seem obvious that the way to get free website traffic is by giving people what they want. However, it is ridiculous how many entrepreneurs overlook this. Start asking questions yourself and finding out what kinds of information and products people are looking for. Only then will you be able to separate yourself from the rest of the competition that fills the internet.

If you want to get more website traffic you have to be where the people are. You cannot expect to sit back and watch as people come to you. This is especially the case with internet marketing as there are millions of websites and businesses all vying for the attention of internet surfers.

Where are the people you may be wondering? Anywhere and everywhere is the simple answer to this question. You can find your target market in forums, on blogs, in article directories, traffic exchanges, online conferences, and social sites like MySpace and Twitter.

To take your business to the next level you need to get more website traffic. No matter how much traffic your site is generating now you need to know that you can always make more money with more traffic. But hiding behind your business name is not going to get you anywhere.

As soon as you pep yourself up, you need to become as social as possible. You should be spending at least two to three hours every day socializing and being where the people are. It gives you the opportunity to learn new things, meet new people, and best of all let people know who you are. As soon as people know who you are and what you have to offer you will begin to get more website traffic.

And of course one of the main things you should be offering is a way for them to subscribe to your list for further communication.
