Surf Center Guide

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

First you have to know what the surf center is before you have the need to read the guide.

You see Soaring4Traffic has this unique tool that allows you to manage and control all your traffic exchange surfing with one link.

No longer the need for multiple url’s saved in your favorites or book marks, no longer the need for multiple folders that require changing constantly.

Even if you use the above out of touch and antique methods, you still have no way of knowing when you last logged into a site, checked your stats, assigned credits or did a little surfing to build more advertising credits.

With Soaring4Traffic’s Surf Center Console, you know exactly the last time you logged in to each site, date and time are recorded. Not limited to only traffic exchanges either.

And its all done with ONE saved link in your favorites!

Why would you want to waste time with managing your browser favorites, changing folders, etc..when better time could be spent building credits and working on improvements to your advertising.

Now that is a general idea of what the Surf Center Console is, available to ALL members of Soaring4Traffic.

If you use it, you will never go back to the old methods. Since some members have not explored this awesome tool available, we wrote the Surf Center Guide, which details the complete power it provides.

Members can now find the Surf Center Guide on their main member page after logging in. Also comes with re-branding rights, and of course totally free to all.

Special thanks goes out to Paula Zuehlke for helping me edit and suggesting changes that make it more understandable for all. You see I write like I talk, in Texan, not understood by all… :)

Another special thanks to Jamison Raymond for creating the book cover graphics on short notice and record time.

Soaring4Traffic Surf Center Console Guide

So there you have it, the reason for the Surf Center Guide which reveals all the details for setup, use and advantages in one easy to follow guide. Only takes a matter of minutes to save so much more time in the future.

Members can go straight to their main member page to get their copy. Not a member, well ya have to join to use it anyway. :)

Feed back has been positive so far, leave your comments below, let me know what ya think.

New Blog Graphics

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

As you can see, one of my first projects for 2009, or should I say to end 2008, was to update the graphics for this blog.

The other header was ok, but rather dull in my opinion, so what do you think about this one?

Also changed the background to match the color of the Soaring4Traffic background lower portion. I did all of this with Instant Banner Creator, including the background, even though it doesn’t offer a back ground creator option.

You can do this also. All I did was use the banner creator option, changed the size to 40×40 pixels, (any size works) chose not to include text, only a solid background color.

Frankly matching the color exactly using IBC’s color selector was and can be quite difficult to get it just perfect. That is until I found that if you have the RGB color you can just paste them into the color selector. Or better yet, if you have the HEX code, copy and paste that into the color selector.

Getting the RGB code for a color you want to use is simple. Your computer probably has the “Paint” accessory which will give you the code. Or if that is not enough, I found a cool Online Color Schemer site that is easy to use and free.

Anyway, the more I play around with IBC, the better I like it. Since I am a graphics illiterate and usually have a hard time waiting for graphics to be done by pros, it is just what the doctor ordered for me.

I have so many more ideas and uses for this program, and no doubt will get better with a little practice.

Just imagine the possibilities when you combine Instant Banner Creator and Splash Page Maker! Talk about being unique, creating splash pages and graphics that stand out from the crowd for your traffic exchange advertising. Awesome..

So what do you think about the new blog graphics, be brutal if you must, just be honest!

Thanks for a great year, we have much planned for 2009, heck I’m even in the process of writing an E-Book for Soaring4Traffic members…stay tuned for that one. :)

WISH ALL A SUCCESSFUL & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Time Management

Friday, December 19th, 2008

I wrote an email a couple of days ago, subject line was Time and Money. If we only had enough of each, things would certainly be so easy, right?

Working online from home and managing your time sounds like such an easy thing to do. If we managed our time better, no doubt there would be more money made or at least an opportunity to earn more.

Time management has always been an issue with me. I tend to get side tracked or spend too much time on less important things. Not that I am a perfectionist, but it bugs me greatly when the slightest thing is not just perfect. Bad habits are hard to break. :)

I check emails constantly, check admin side of my traffic exchanges and other sites, answer all emails personally, read ebooks I’ve purchased, check for new forum posts, check all my advertising campaigns, surf some sites or purchase credits when they run low, check affiliate sites, commissions, etc etc…

In between all that, I try to set up new advertising campaigns, create new splash pages, banners, and other graphics for advertising. In other words, managing your time online, balancing with off line chores, exercising, eating, laundry, friends and family can be one tough balance to obtain.

Plus you need time to come up with new ideas, unique things that will draw interest to your advertising. In the past, I was horrible at keeping a schedule, sitting behind the computer sometimes as much as 12-14 hours per day…not healthy for sure. :)

Well now, I do have a schedule and do my best to stick with it, though honestly, I could do better. However, seems like the holidays add more pressure.. lol

Then my friend, Sunny Suggs, she truly is my friend, wrote another ebook. She has gotten pretty good at this ebook thing, but this might be her best effort yet and it fits perfectly for my needs in doing a better job of managing my time.

She is the All About lady…this one titled All About Time Management. Very interesting and helpful read for me, you might want to download it for free also. In fact its really 3 ebooks.

Certainly gave me more ideas about managing my time. Maybe it will help you.

I would really like to hear your comments on this. Not only about Sunny’s book but how you manage your time, do you have a schedule, a list of daily things to do or do it like I did in the past, hit and miss all day long. :)

Leave your comments below, want to know how you do it…

Forums worth Your Time?

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Are forums really worth your time? I would like to share a story with you about my personal experience, then you decide whether participating in forums is for you.

This particular story started about 2 years ago when I made an improper post in a popular forum. By improper, I mean it was made with the best of intentions but was misunderstood and several members of the forum were lets say, less than cordial in their responses.

However, several did understand my “newbie” mistake and did understand what I was trying to say, plus offered some great advice. Though surprised, through that post I got to know several members, TE, and other program owners.

Keep in mind this was before Soaring4Traffic was even an idea, much less a reality. This story is just about one of those members, Chris Houg.

You see, what Chris did was point out the possible mistake I had made, yet seemed to have a full understanding of my reason for posting. Of course I then joined several programs of members that did follow up posts, and then proceeded to read other posts made by these members.

All of Chris Houg’s post seemed like he really wanted to offer professional advice and help to members questions and had knowledge in his replies.

After following Chris more, getting to know him better, joining his TE, LotsMoreHits, I soon became aware that he also owned a hosting company.

Guess what, when Soaring4Traffic grew to such a size that I felt a dedicated server was needed, who did I contact first? You’re right, Chris responded to all of my questions about servers, what was needed, options and the pricing.

Long story short, Soaring4Traffic had been on one of LotsMoreHosting dedicated servers since June 2008. One of the best decisions I’ve made concerning the growth and expansion of my business.

My point is this. Do you participate in forums to learn, meet new people, get advice or ask questions? What has been your experience?

Personally I have many other such stories, Chris just happens to be one that stands out and has benefited both he and I. Though I’ve never met Chris face to face, or might never, I do have a certain comfort level earned strictly through his forum postings, and of course now even more through a business relationship.

Would you like to share your story or experience in forums? If so I have started a thread at the Members Forum to get your response. Use this link to read and post your experience.

Survey Says

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Our recent in house survey was very interesting to say the least. I took a lot of time to review each one and really appreciate everyones participation. It is your answers, comments and suggestions that drive the direction we take for improvement.

The first question was which promo you liked the best. Well that one was all over the park, seems everyone had their personal preference and all promos run lately were included in the comments. I think the general response was that any way you could earn more credits would be a winner.

Of course a chance to earn some cash was high on the list as well, especially the referral contests.

Second question was, have you voted for Soaring4Traffic at Affiliate Funnel, what ranking did you give and why?

Over 80% of the responses said they did and that we were being ranked from 7 to 10, with 10 being the most. However, funny thing is that the results from last weeks Affiliate Funnel rankings did not reflect the responses?

Is their some fraud involved or votes not being counted? I would certainly hate to think so and honestly feel its more of a total misunderstanding of the voting process. From some of the responses, I realize that some do not entirely understand how the voting is done or how it works.

First misconception is that you have to be a member to vote. Not true, you can vote without being a member of Affiliate Funnel. Second misconception is that you can rate more than one traffic exchange as a 10 or whatever you wish. Think you do have to be a member for multiple voting though. Not sure.

In other words, if you think that 5 or 10 exchanges deserve a 10, you can vote that way, not rank them from 1 to 10 as you might think. One other misconception is the actual ranking itself. Ranking a site 10 means you think its excellent, ranking it a 1 means its not so good in your opinion. Seems some have that confused.

And the last point made is that simply clicking on the vote image for your exchange does not place the vote. You actually have to scroll down, use the drop down menu to rank a site. By the way, you can vote once per day now.

Just wanted to clear that up for all, no matter which exchange you are voting for. By the way, the ranking report is not the most important thing to a traffic exchange, but it does have its advantages by being noticed and therefore creating more visuals and opportunities for new members to join. ;)

That applies to all ranking sites and downline builders. Anytime a traffic exchange ranks higher on any list, the more it gets noticed and the more popular it will become. Just plain facts.

I know everyone has seen all the emails from every exchange asking for your vote. We have placed a Surfers Choice voting image on your main member page just as a reminder to vote each day and will just leave it at that. We appreciate any vote you give.

And the last question on the survey was, would you like the Sam Eagle, Private Investigator saga to continue?

Got some very funny responses from that, some had no idea what I was talking about but 80% of the responses were, YES we want to know what happens next. So with that in mind we will be ordering the next episode of Sam Eagle! ;)

And finally the comment section was the best of all. Thanks to everyone for your comments and suggestions. These are so important for us to know how you feel, what you would like to see, and suggestions for improvement. Very valuable info, thank you so much!

Please don’t forget our referral contest continues through the end of November and best of luck, $20 each to the top five.

Lastly, let us never forget the purpose of a traffic exchange. Sometimes we get caught up in the games, chat rooms, surfing contests, and stats spouted about how many pages are being surfed, etc. Frankly none of that matters if you are not getting results.

Are you looking at the pages as you surf, signing up for information or searching for tools and other products that will add to your business? Are you offering products or tools, building your list and therefore growing your business? Are you using splash pages? Building your own unique pages?

A traffic exchange is ALL about advertising. That should be your purpose, your goal and whatever extra is offered from using a traffic exchange is simply window dressing.

By the way, here’s a little secret for you. Three traffic exchanges that I’ve seen the best results from this past week other than S4T of course, are Hit Safari, Hit2Hit, and BootScootin’Traffic. All three are in your traffic exchange downline builder if you’re not currently a member.

As I’ve stated before and often, view the sites as you would want others to view your sites.

Now lets start the week off with a bang and a whole lot of success! Look for some more promotions coming soon.
