Relocating is Fun

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

The excitement of moving to a new home is fun, but the actual move is a real pain. :)

Am currently in that process right now, didn’t know I had so much junk, things I haven’t seen or used in years. lol

Wanted to let everyone know so if your support question doesn’t get answered as fast as normal, you will know why. Hopefully by the time I get moved completely in, the Internet connection will be ready as well. Never fear, I will be checking in every chance possible to make sure everything is running smoothly. Still have my laptop with mobile capabilities for emergency situations.

The Talon, will not be published today, first week we’ve missed since launching, hope everyone understands. Will be back on schedule next week for sure.

In the meantime, be sure to check this blog often for any new updates, specials, or points of interest. Never know what you might find posted here. :)

That’s all for now, it’s 2:30 am, friends coming over to help in about 5 or 6 hours, need sleep..lol Please keep surfing and assigning those credits, the Eagles are Soaring higher!

Goodnight, uh maybe Good morning,

Bonus Credits Extended

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Hey everyone, we still have credits in the bank.

So with continued activity like this past day, we are extending the double bonus credits for another 24 hours. Enjoy, rack up the extra credits.

By all means be sure you assign your credits to keep your site in rotation. With this many people surfing, there will be many eyes looking at your sites and offers. Be sure you take the time to view the pages also. There really is some very nice offers being advertised by your fellow members.

That’s all for today…more on the way! Soar with Eagles!

Bonus Credits Doubled

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Activity has been great, members are spreading your wings, truly Soaring with Eagles!

To show appreciation, it’s time for some extra credits.

For the next 24 hours, starting now 2:00 AM CST 9-27-2007 bonus credits will be doubled.

All other bonuses will remain, i.e. verification questions and completing the words or phrases on your surf bar.

Should activity continue to rise with the double bonus in place, it just might be extended longer than 24 hours. :)

Will monitor closely, as we do not want to upset the apple cart by over extending our credit balance.

So time to rack up some extra credits quickly. Don’t forget to assign credits to your sites!

Also don’t forget the click accuracy contest is still underway, winners awarded on Monday.

That’s all for now, thanks for being such awesome members!

Weekly Contest Results

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Okay everyone it’s Monday night and time to announce the winners for this past weeks contest.

Thanks to all for setting new records this week with your suring activity, but the winners with the most accurate clicking fingers this week are as follows. Shows username percent accuracy and credits awarded.

tektonas — 99.75% accurate — 100 credits
rgwconsulting — 99.63% accurate — 200 credits (surfed more than 500 sites this week)
notyet4u
— 99.51% accurate — 100 credits
ruiniang — 99.40% accurate — 100 credits
stratosphere — 99.18% accurate — 100 credits

We had 2 members with 100% accuracy, but failed to surf the minimum 300 sites this week. Don’t forget that surfing 500 sites in a week, plus being in the top 5 most accurate clickers are rewarded with double credits, i.e. 200 instead of 100. :)

Credits have been awarded, stats have been reset. That means another new contest has begun. Good luck to one and all.

Weekly Contest Update

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Well, seems we have some really accurate clickers this week.

Not only that, but several have already passed the 500 sites surfed mark, which means I’ll be awarding double the credits this week. Certainly not too late to get in the game. Plenty of time left. The contest runs through Monday each and every week.

Each Monday, stats are reset to start the next week. Just surf a minimum of 300 sites to be considered, surf 500 sites to get double bonus credits. But, you still have to be in the top 5 with clicking accuracy. Keep your eye on the page being viewed, click the proper Eagle image, that’s all there is to it.  :)

Good Luck to each of you!

Soaring4Traffic Preferences

Friday, September 14th, 2007

You might have noticed some new links already? Anyway, grab a cup of coffee, tea, whatever your preference and get comfortable. This is going to take some explaining. :)

First let me say these changes have come about because of member comments, suggestions, and in some cases demands. No demands, but it sounded good. Some members do not like pop-ups, video, or perhaps audio and feel it is annoying. Of course others feel it is an effective means of advertising and frankly, it’s hard to disagree with marketers that have been online for years. Anyway, who am I to judge what works best for everyone?

Since our terms of service allow one pop-up, does allow video and audio, we cannot in mid stream change the rules, nor do I think we should. These marketing techniques do work for some, perhaps not for others. Maybe they are better served in other venues than traffic exchanges? Who knows, but we are an advertising site first and try to accomondate all choices.

Now I believe we found the solution. Hopefully, middle ground to make everyone happy and surfing more enjoyable depending on your preferences.  Because now you have a choice. :)

On your main member page, you will find a link near the top “My Preferences clicking that will take you to the page to set what you want to view or not view. Check the boxes and click save.

On the add sites page or when you edit your site, you must now click the boxes that apply to that particular site. Example: Does it have the one allowed pop-up? Does it have auto playing audio? Does it have auto playing video? Check all the boxes that apply to your site.

Now if your site has audio or video that does not automatically play, i.e. must be clicked to begin, then do not check the boxes. If it starts playing automatically, then you must click the appropiate boxes.

What are pop-ups? A pop-up is one that has to be closed manually before moving to the next site. If it requires a click to close then you must click the pop-up box. PeelaWay ads are not considered pop-ups as they take a separate action to open. Slide in or exit type forms that do not require closing to continue surfing, are not considered pop-ups. In other words, anything that requires an extra click to close before you click to the next site will be considered a pop-up.

Now, if you have a site with a pop-up, video, or audio that automatically play, you will be required to also view those type sites. Only fair, right? If you feel that type advertising works, then you have no problem viewing other sites with the same type media. Even if you don’t have sites with audio, video, or pop-ups, you can still view those sites by setting your preferences as mentioned above. There are some really great sites using those type advertising methods.

This also includes any sites you might be advertising within a rotator. If you’re advertising say 4 to 5 sites in a rotator and one of them has audio, video, or a pop-up as explained already, then the entire rotator must be checked accordingly.

This might take a few days to completely smooth out before we start reporting any sites not properly entered. Need everyone to check your sites already entered and mark them accordingly. Do this on your My Websites page, click the name of your site to be taken to the edit site page. Click the appropiate boxes, click the I agree to terms box and save.

If you know your sites do not have any of the above, you’re already set. Any new sites added can be properly checked as you enter it. We of course will allow a few days for everyone to make the changes to their already entered sites.

Would ask everyone not to report any sites that have not been setup properly just yet. We will only want you to start reporting those, let’s say one week from today, after the 21st of September. Of course we still want sites reported that break our terms of service as usual.

Sites reported with audio, video, and or pop-up after the 21st, will of course not be suspended. They will however be properly rated from the admin side and continue in rotation as usual.

This is a new feature for Soaring4Traffic only at this time. Thanks to Josh Abbott, for writing the script that makes this all possible. You wanted options, we listen. :)  Please do not abuse preferences. We are on a trial run and if it seems to please everyone, it will be permanent.

Frankly even with these options, I still like to see the video’s, listen to some of the audios, and really don’t mind an occasional pop-up. Always run my browser with the pop-ups allowed anyway.

Who this really helps will be the members that get annoyed by pop-ups, maybe their browser won’t block properly? It will also allow those that don’t mute their audio because they like to listen to music while surfing without disturbances.

Now as usual and especially this time, would really like to have your comments and or suggestions. We really do listen.

If you haven’t been to this blog in the last couple of days, you will also want to read the posts below this one. Not only is it announcing another new feature, but also a contest. So check it out if you have time. :)

There is more to come…stayed tuned for another feature perhaps in the next couple of days.

Soaring4Traffic Click Accuracy

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Just wanted to post about another cool tool just added to Soaring4Traffic. This is sort of a bad news, good news post.  Mostly good! :)

As you well know, we are constantly checking to make sure that sites in our system are meeting standards, i.e. not harmful, rude, or break terms of service. We also have verification tests to ensure that views are being done by real people and not software someone has created.

In the past, our verification questions were the major test to verify that the clicks were real. Questions would show up occasionally that had to be answered true or false. This was suppose to indicate that a real person was surfing because he/she had to answer correctly. After 10 wrong errors the person was automatically suspended, reviewed and notified.

Information received has indicated that a few may in fact have accessed a way to get around those questions. How sad that people would want to cheat others out of their hard earned credits.

Now for the good news. Remember the post before this one about SurfingGuard being added? Well Josh Abbott has done it again. As a SurfingGuard protected traffic exchange Josh included another “cool tool” to help us detect those that might wish to abuse the surfing verification tests.

We now have a clicking accuracy test installed, has actually been running a couple of days. What this does is keep track of how accurate the clicks are when choosing to move to the next site. The statistics provided give us an accurate and immediate warning when stats reach a level in question. There have also been other measures implemented to ensure your credits are being used properly. This one we will keep secret as we do not want to give cheaters any heads up on how to get around it. :)

Please understand, everyone makes a mistake occasionally when clicking for the next site, me included. There is no penalty for these mistakes, only human nature. Clicking the wrong Eagle can happen and will to almost everyone some time or another. Don’t worry, no penalty.

All of the current verification tests will remain as they are, this is just an extra measure of security.

What this does do however is give me another way to give away some free bonus credits. :)

Let’s call this an accuracy contest. Now I check these stats daily, sometimes more than once. However to make this contest fair, it will run for an entire week. Maybe you might have a bad day, but the next day everything is shall we say, clicking for you…lol

Rules: You must have a combined total of at least 300 sites viewed in a week’s time. The top 5 with the best accuracy percentage will get 100 credits each. Of course 100% is the highest possible, but not required unless the top 5 all reach 100% accuracy. If we have more than 5 with 100% accuracy, we will draw from those to determine the 5 winners.

Contest has already started and since this is Wednesday, will be a short week. Prizes will be awarded each Monday for the previous week. Still plenty of time to get those 300 sites viewed to qualify. :)

Sounds fair to me, what do you think? Please leave your comments below as always.

Soaring Smoother

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Wanted to bring everyone up to speed on what’s new at Soaring4Traffic.

Though we have had very few problems with bad sites, a few but percentage is small, we have now added even more protection. A program called SurfingGuard written by Josh Abbott who also owns FiveHits.com.

We have had this program running for a few days now and eliminated a couple of bad sites we might have missed otherwise. Since we have reached over 7,000 sites with more being added each day, manually checking each one, well you can imagine how it could get out of hand.  :)

We of course will still be checking sites as usual manually, SurfingGuard just adds to our protection and has already saved hours of time. Our best defense of course has always been you the Members reporting anything you feel looks suspicious.

Will this catch and eliminate every site that breaks our terms of service? Probably not, but it will get the majority before they even have a chance to be put into rotation. We have been very lucky up to this point with very few sites that break our terms. That is related directly to you the members who truly are Soaring with Eagles and take pride in your site.

Still urge all members to continue to report any site you feel is not meeting our terms. I will continue to check sites manually, and of course SurfingGuard will be running to help us all. If we all stay alert, we can make Soaring4Traffic one of the smoothest surfing traffic exchanges online, if we haven’t already. :)

Stay tuned in the next few days, another new addition is being made that I think most every member will like and use. This if implemented correctly will add to your already smoother surfing. :)

Thank you one and all. As always, comments, suggestions always welcome.

Deep Sea Hits - Secret No More!

Friday, September 7th, 2007

Ladies, Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, please read this!

DeepSeaHits.com traffic exchange has been online since 2004. Originally owned by Paula Zuehlke and Robert Odell. Earlier this year Robert needed to spend more time on other projects, Doug Pare purchased Robert’s share in this well kept secret.

Together Paula and Doug have been planning a revitalization of this already very effective traffic exchange. I know, because I’ve been a member since 2005. Always loved the Neptune’s Challenge game and Find Neptune’s bonus credits unique and downright fun to play. :)

Why do I know this hidden gem will now shine bright? Simple, because of the owners. Paula, owner of HitSafari, one of the most highly rated and effective traffic exchanges online. Doug, with his ownership of Realhitz4u and the rapid rating increase he has done in such a short time. By the way, both of those are in our traffic exchange downline builder.

With this new design and re-launch, if you’re not a member already, I would highly recommend you consider this opportunity now. It’s already been moved up in my Surf Console to one of the priority sites.

Let me tell you a little about what’s being offered. You first have of course website promotion, banner, text link advertising, cash commissions, bonus credits when surfing, splash page generator for personalizing your ad, more than reasonable credit packages, plus the two games I mentioned above for even more credits.

Another little tip. There will literally be hundreds of people joining in the next couple of weeks. If you want your ads seen by all the current plus the new members that join, get in asap.

You also have two upgrade levels at more than reasonable prices.  Of course you can also just join for free and never have to pay one cent. :)

Just in case you missed it before, it is in Soaring4Traffic’s downline builder which also means by adding your referral ID it’s automatically added to your Surf Console.

Remember in the last article I wrote about downline builders?  Never under estimate the power they have in signing up new members for you. What I’m trying to say is, if you are already a member of DeepSeaHits, get over there now and make sure your ID is entered.

If you’re not a member of Soaring4Traffic by all means get on board now, because we have one of the most productive downline builders when it comes to traffic exchanges. Actually we have two downline builders and both have proven to work very well. :)

If you are not a member of DeepSeaHits, you can login to your members area, click on the Traffic Exchanges link, scroll down, review, and join from there.

Would you like to have an extra 50 credits added to your Soaring4Traffic account? Use the link below to join, send me a support ticket to support@soaring4traffic.com and tell me what your Deep Sea Hits user name is. So I know you’ve just joined you will need to use this link: http://www.protrackerplus.com/3/dsh.html

In that email also let me know what your user name or ID # is at Soaring4Traffic so I can add your credits. :)

That’s all for now, hope you like DeepSeaHits as much as I do. Comments are always welcome.
