Soaring4Traffic Contest Results

Friday, August 31st, 2007

The referral contest for Soaring4Traffic has come to a close, at least for this one. :)

All winners have been notified and $20 added to their accounts. Before giving you the winners names, would just like to thank everyone that participated. During this contest there was a total of 309 new members referred. Not all were qualified members as some have yet to complete their activation process. :(

On a less tasteful note, one member had his wings removed (permanently suspended) for behavior un-becoming of a Soaring Eagle. Cheating is not tolerated, is unfair to others and strictly against all rules of membership in any traffic exchange.

On the brighter side, we had 60 members that qualified for the contest. Eleven members with mutiple chances, and countless others that only needed one more active member to qualify. Now for the winners, listed in order of most active members referred.

Ieuan Evans
Dan Moses
Steve Manning
Kevin Anderson
Marina  Afanasyeva
Danny Chua
Norman Miyamoto
Ezmullar Admin
George Nikolis
Russell Westwood

Congratulations ladies and gentlemen, your accounts have been increased by $20 to use as you choose. :)

Would just like to mention a couple of notables regarding this contest. First Ieuan Evans deserves special recognition for his efforts, even before the contest, Ieuan has done an awesome job of referring new members. He does it fairly, squarely, and uses this site TrafficTornado to build downlines not only for himself but others in traffice exchanges:
http://www.traffictornado.com/x/p4.cgi/1/

Ieuan, you are to be especially congratulated for your work and efforts in bringing new members not only into Soaring4Traffic but other traffic exchanges as well. Thank You, you are much appreciated!

Another notable and I don’t really know what to say, but Kevin Anderson who you see finished 4th in this contest passed away two days before this contest began. He never knew this contest existed. For once I am at a loss for words.

Kevin’s family and or business associates will be notified, as I have no way of knowing if they are receiving his email. His account is still active, and has other monies owed that will be paid when the family notifies me. I’m sure they have many more important things demanding their attention at this time. You do Soar with Eagles, Kevin Anderson.

Hope everyone had fun with the contest, maybe we will come up with some different ideas for the next one.

Again, thank you all, sorry we couldn’t pay 100 winners, best of luck next time!

Soaring4Traffic Surf Console

Monday, August 27th, 2007

It seems that a lot of members are missing or not taking advantage of the unique surf console.

Of course I have no statistics on how many are using it, but from some of the comments and questions think maybe that it either is not fully understood or for some maybe it’s just hard to break old habits. :)

So, my objective with this post is to show how easy it is to set up and use. Not only that, but the advantages of using the surf console as you begin each of your surfing sessions.

So why do I say it’s so easy to setup? Plain and simple it’s done for you automatically when you fill in your ID’s on the traffic exchange downline builder. You see, no need to create all these surfing folders so many tell you to do, with four or five exchanges in each. Of course you can do that, but how do you keep track of what you surfed when?

The Soaring4Traffic surf console does that for you. It records the last date and time you logged in to each exchange, no more guessing. Plus after your surfing session, it moves the last ones you surfed to the bottom. This lets you know right away which ones haven’t been surfed recently because they’re moved to the top of your list.

This script was written for Soaring4Traffic because of my years of surfing traffic exchanges and trying to manage over 50 exchanges. See, I had all the folders everyone recommends with about 5 traffic exchanges in each one. Trying to control that many exchanges however was a nightmare as I wanted to know which ones had not been surfed recently. Sure I could guess or keep a notepad but found even that was not very effective and really time consuming. :)

My theory is that instead of all these silly folders, why not have one single Url saved to my favorites that would take me directly to all my traffic exchanges. After the script was written and Soaring4Traffic launched, got rid of all those silly folders and saved one url, named it, “S4T Surf Console.” Now when I’m ready to sit down and surf, click one link, I’m in without having to login to anything and all my traffic exchanges are listed with the last time I surfed each one.

You see, I like things simple and feel my time can be better spent surfing rather than keeping folders up to date and manually recording each surf session. So that my friends is why I wanted to add the Surf Console script for all members of Soaring4Traffic. Right now, it’s an exclusive feature that only members of S4T have.

Easy to set up, add your ID’s to the traffic exchanges you are a member of in the Traffic Exchange downline builder. Be sure to add the correct referral id, some are numbers, some are your user names. Example: Soaring4Traffic is your referral ID # not your user name.

After entering your ID’s, click the Update button on the bottom of the page. Go back to this page anytime, make changes, add more exchanges, etc… but always remember to click the update button. After entering your correct referral Id’s click the “Surf Center” link on that same page. There you are, you now see only the traffic exchanges you entered your id’s for. Your own personal surf center, so easy so simple and yet so useful.

That’s why I’ve always said that the Soaring4Traffic - Traffic Exchange downline builder serves a dual purpose. First it serves as a downline builder for other traffic exchanges, and creates the surf center at the same time. By the way, both uses are very effective.

So what do you do if one or two of your traffic exchanges are not listed? Yes, we’ve taken care of that also. On the surf center page you will notice a link “Go to My Programs” click it, and it will take you to another page to enter the urls of any traffic exchanges not in the downline builder. Now you have two surf consoles, but both function in the same way by keeping track of your last surf session.

Even if you only are a member of 4 or 5 exchanges, it’s still very convenient and easy. If you belong to 10 or more, maybe 60 or more like me then it is an absolute must. :)

After you have your surf center set up, now you need one url: (You will find this link on your surf center page)
http://www.soaring4traffic.com/surfcenter_ext.php?id=

That is the surf console link, to make it yours, add your id # after the equal sign, then save it to your favorites. That is the only link you will ever need to control and manage your traffic exchange surfing. No folders, no guessing, just the facts laid out in front of you. On the surf console page you will also see the link for the programs you added of your own, under “My Programs”

Another cool thing is that everyone has their favorites to surf more often. When adding your ID’s on the traffic exchange downline builder there is a link to place a priority on each one. Say yes to priority and those exchanges will be on top of all the others listed under Priority Programs. All others will be listed below.

Oh, don’t forget to enter your ID for Soaring4Traffic and add it as one of your priorities, otherwise it won’t show up on your surf console. :)

After each surfing session, refresh the surf console page to see how it records the date, time and moves the currently surfed to the bottom. Also another good thing to do is before logging out of each traffic exchange, login, check your sites, assign credits, text links, and banner impressions. Now your advertising is on auto pilot until you need more credits and need to surf some more.

The surf console for me is not only for surfing but a record keeper of all the exchanges I use. In other words, I use it as a login page to all my exchanges. For example, my tracking indicates that a particular exchange is not sending visitors to my site? Use the surf console, find it, see what the problem is, (usually ran out of credits) assign more credits. So simple, so easy and absolutely a must for me. Truly do not understand anyone not finding it’s usefulness very beneficial.

If you would like a short video tutorial on how simple the surf console is to setup and use, it is on your main member’s page. You can also view it here, only about 2 minutes long.

http://www.soaring4traffic.com/videos/surfcenter/surfcenter.html

Of course if you still have questions, feel free to send me a support ticket anytime.

As always, would love to have your comments, be they good, bad or indifferent. Otherwise how will I know what you really think about the surf console?

New Programs of Value

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Well it’s been a hectic couple of days to say the least. So many new things happening, couple of brand new just launched programs that not only look great but worth their weight in gold.

The most valuable one in my opinion was launched yesterday. ProTrackerPlus owned by Dan Moses and Mark Brown. You’ve already seen my opinion on this one in the previous post. This is a must have for serious Internet marketers, not only a tracker like no other, but the training to back it up. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a quick peak here.

ProTrackerPlus.com

Or if you want to just read my review in the previous post, you’ll get the idea of how I feel about this program and the owners. :)

While ProTrackerPlus was being launched, at the same time another cool idea owned by Sheila Schofield was also being launched. I’m sure you’ve already seen this, but it really is a very innovative idea. It’s really a new twist on exchanging traffic.

It’s call Exit Explosion and what it does is allow you to put a small piece of code on your website so that when someone is about to leave they get a little pop-up for someone elses site. Actually it looks like a pop-up but is quite different. You gain credits by showing other peoples ads when they are about to leave your site. Your ad is then displayed on other’s sites in exchange for having the code on yours.

Guess you might call it a traffic exchange too, with a little different approach. :) If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to take a peak at how it operates. ExitExplosion.com  Was lucky enough to be one of the first in this program before it launched. Has worked really well and feel it has great potential as another avenue for advertising.

Of course how could I leave out the PeelaWay Ads. These are not brand new, but only a couple of months since they launched. I have really fallen in love with these non-obtrusive little gems. As you know I created some peel affiliate ads for all members of Soaring4Traffic the day after the peel was launched. If you haven’t tried them yet, they are quite easy to add to any web page you own. Just copy the peel script on your “Promote” page and paste right above the closing body tag on any website.

The owners have now updated the instructions with video and more detailed information should you wish to buy the script for your own use.

So why do I write about these new products. Main reason is I’m always looking for new ways to advertise Soaring4Traffic to bring in more members. Another reason I like both Exit Explosion and PeelAWay ads is the fact they are traffic exchange friendly. Neither require you to close them to move to the next page when surfing. Personally, when I’m surfing, even though we allow one pop-up as most exchanges do, still don’t like having to close it before moving on.

Exit Explosion is a pop-up, sort of, but not one that has to be closed. It will disappear when you click for your next page. Tested it to make sure. Personally I hope that Exit Explosion and Peel Away Ads replace pop-ups and fly in ads completely. :)

Why do I recommend Pro Tracker Plus? Because I think anyone that is truly serious with their advertising should track the results. Advertising can get expensive, yet is a must to build your business. So why wouldn’t you want to track the results to see if your money is being spent wisely? Has great value also in letting you know which ads are producing and which are just plain duds. :)

Whatever your business is, you need ways to advertise. Advertising in most cases is your largest expense. That’s why I like the three programs mentioned in this aritcle. New ways to advertise and new way to track your results.

By the way, to test your Exit Explosion and Peelaway ads, put a ProTrackerPlus link in them. I’m already doing that..lol

All of these programs have been added to the resources links on the main page of this blog. Feel free to check them out any time you wish or feel you’re ready to experiment a little.

Just might add that another reason I like these programs is that each one has a lucrative affiliate program. Programs with this much value to all that use them are the type programs I like to recommend to others. Promoting a program of value is sure much better than selling the “dream” that doesn’t exist.

Always check the resources link on the main page for any new programs of interest I find. Some of these I have found being advertised on Soaring4Traffic, another reason I stress to each of you to look at the pages as you surf. Might be surprised at what you find. :)

Would love to have your comments on this post. Now, I won’t be sending out an email about this post, but the first 5 people that leave their comments, will receive 100 credits to their Soaring4Traffic account. Testing .. :)

The New Twist on Tracking

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

Okay, the long awaited program I’ve been yapping about has now been launched. This program has been two years in the development stages and is now ready for your review. I personally had the privilege of reviewing and testing this program for the last few weeks. Below find my personal feelings about this program.

Now it might not be for everyone, but if you intend to do business on the Internet and feel that tracking your advertising results are important, this is a tool for you.

After reviewing ProTrackerPlus I was quite impressed with how easy it was to navigate through the members area and the ease of setting up a tracking link was a breeze.

The training that is provided is something that has not been available in the tracking industry before now, these guys really know how to produce results.

Then when I reviewed the Commission plan and the fact I can practically give away memberships and make huge income on the One Time Offers, well lets just say that is an added bonus.

This was a bit more then I expected and boy have I been pleased with this program. The training is way above what I expected.

Dan and Mark are no strangers to sending traffic to profit producing websites and this level of professionalism is what I expected when I frist looked at the service. They put their heart and souls into ProTrackerPlus and they stand behind it with pride so with that in mind I really haven’t worried about anything except how I am going to refer more members.

The bottom line is… this program rocks and I would suggest that anyone who’s been looking for a way to turn up the productivity of their marketing should join today.

I’ve gotten to know Dan Moses and Mark Brown very well. With those guys behind the program, I have no reservations about recommending it to anyone and everyone. Neither will you when you see it!

There’s a whole lot to gain from being a member and hey, don’t forget to take the offer… (you’ll know what I mean when you join) yes, the offer that you’ve got to see… it’s awesome!

Oh! I almost forgot to mention the first 250 Gold members get 50% OFF!

Point is, if you need a tracker, want to know where your advertising is most effective, plus all other data you have access too, then this is the tracker you most assuredly need to look at.

Look it over for yourself:    ProTrackerPlus.com

By the way, many of you have asked which other traffic exchanges would I recommend? As you know, there are many different programs and people who have their top 10, and somehow they all seem to differ in their opinions. I’ve already been using ProTrackerPlus and when I feel that enough data has been collected, there won’t be any guessing game, at least not in my mind.

Been waiting for this program to be completed ever since Soaring4Traffic was launched back in June. With the data collected from this tracker, I will be able to finally and honestly let you know which traffic exchanges perform best for me. When this test is done, will put my recommendations on this blog for your review.

I will continue to test and if things change as they always do, the recommendations will change as well. :)

Test any program you promote, even affiliate programs.

As always, welcome your comments, let me know what you think. :)

Contest Update

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

Yes, the contest is still going strong, doesn’t end until the 31’st of August. :)

Thought everyone might like a little update. Remember the rules are, for every two active referrals you have join equals one chance in the drawing. Of course we will continue to try to get those signed up to activate their account. If you would like to use the downline emailer to motivate your referrals that haven’t fully activated their accounts, might be a good idea. :)

Currently we have 17 people qualified with a least 2 active referrals. There is also over 35 members that have at least one referral to date. One more and you’re in the drawing.

Top four members with the most active referrals at this time are:

Iuean Evans
Dan Moses
Steve Manning
Andre Larocque

Good luck to all, you have plenty of time for your chance in the drawing.

On another note, the program I’ve been talking about is about to be launched later today. I will be sending out an email to notify anyone that might have interest. It’s not for everybody, but for those that need and see the value, you won’t be disappointed. :)

That’s all for now.

Navigation of this Blog

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

Had a couple of people comment about getting lost on this blog. Totally understandable as the more gets posted, more ways to lose yourself.

One key is that if you do get lost, on the top of every page is the link that says “Take me Back to Home Page”

At least that will get you back to where you began. :) As the system archives article posts, you will find the link under archives on the right side of the home page. These will be archived by month as soon as we move to the next month, etc.

If you find the blog from a particular post, you can still get to the home page with the link at the top. You will also notice on each article “previous entries” or “next entries” link. Those will move you to the next article, either before or after.

Hope this helps somewhat, get lost here sometimes myself. Tried to keep it simple as possible but still can be complicated. :)

Special Note: Found out today that my regular email account is blocking emails being forwarded to me from S4T, without my previous knowledge. If you have sent in a support ticket or need help with anything, don’t worry, am checking the back office for support issues.

Wrote about this in another article on this blog, how email providers make this decision without your knowledge. Will be setting up another GMail account to have all my mail forwarded too. Suggest all do the same if you intend to do business on the net.

Traffic Exchanges Are a Waste of Time!

Friday, August 17th, 2007

Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. Posted this article once in “The Talon” and felt maybe new members may have missed it. Such a good article, directly relates to traffic exchanges and how we use them, thought it would be a good idea to post here for all to read. :)

“Traffic Exchanges Are a Waste of Time!”
by: Dan Moses

Have you ever heard someone say this in a forum or in an email that came across your inbox? I know I have and every time it makes me say to myself… these people don’t know what they’re talking about.. or do they?

Sure if they’re not using them correctly then it is a waste of time for them. They’re wasting their time using the TE’s to advertise because they don’t know how to use them effectively.

On the other hand… they’re not a waist of time to many people because they do know how to use them effectively.

Today, I want go into the top 5 ways to use TE’s effectively.

1. Start with the end in mind. If you want to provide a product they want or desire to a surfer of a TE then you need to ask yourself what they want? What do most TE surfers want and desire? Well one things for sure you know they want more traffic. You know they’re using the TEs to get more traffic… and you know they’re goal is get more people to their sites. I think I said the same thing 3 times. :o)

That’s an easy one… so is there a product that you own, promote or can create that would be what they want or desire?Let’s say you come up with a product that will help them surf in half the time they’re doing now (that’s not cheat software :o). Or a new software tool that will help them manage all their TE accounts for them. Would that be something they would want or desire? You Bet! So, that’s something you have to keep in mind.

Too many people are promoting things in TEs that no one cares to buy or use. That’s another reason why promoting TEs in TEs works so well. That’s what the surfer is looking for #1… Traffic generating tools or services. Okay so let’s say you have the coolest and newest tool that every surfer has got to have… and they can afford to buy it. Now that’s half the battle and you’ve won that one before you even step onto the battle field.

2. Create a Splash Page that lists the top benefits they want and a catchy graphic that stops them dead in their tracks. Too many people promote long sales pages in the TE’s that people just don’t have the time to read while they’re surfing. Remember there goal while they surf is to generate traffic to their sites. You have to catch their eye first by putting something in front of them that will stop them dead in their tracks and then get them to click over to your site from the Splash Page. That way you have their undivided attention. Your headline needs to contain a sense of urgency. It must tap into anticipation, desire, curiosity, and other emotional hot buttons. It must have a call to action.Keep in mind, once they click over to your site… it better be something that interests them or they’re gone for good and chances are even if they see your page 1,000 more times they won’t ever click it again. :o(

3. Lead capture pages… these still work very well. If you give them enough information to get their curiosity flowing, but not enough for the whole enchilada, then you can get them to fill out your lead capture page for more info, or to download a free product. The secret here is to give them something they would gladly pay for, but they don’t have to since you’re giving it to them for free (plus that let’s you know what they’re interested in… and means you can sell similar products to them later).

Now if you’ve captured their name and email to follow up with them for a sale, then It’s best from this point to send them some follow up messages that will drip your sales messages over days and weeks with the ability to buy the product at anytime through out the emails you send them.

How many emails should you set up to go out? That’s up to you… if you test the emails and know that on day 3 of the emails 90% of the subscribers buy, then you might not need to keep adding email after email. Set up about 5 and add on if necessary. Keep testing and find out what works or doesn’t.

4. Squeeze Pages. This is a combination of both a Splash Page and a Lead Capture Page in one. It gets the viewer to fill out the form and once they do they get redirected to your sales page with a more open mind because they just gave you their name and email for more info.

Then you can send them the follow up emails like the lead capture page does. Just make sure if they buy your product from the sales page that you stop sending them emails especially if after a certain amount of messages you start offering lower prices. You don’t want upset customers knowing they could have paid less for the product.

5. The Free Report… this is where you give them access right to your Free Report. This can be great for the skeptics out there. These are the people that have gotten burned from opting into too many email lists and they aren’t going to just give up their name and email anymore. They get way too many emails as it is and don’t trust anyone.

So, adding a link to your Free Report right from a Splash Page can help these people click over and get more comfortable with you and what you’re offering before they have to give out their info. Then after they read the report, give them a way to opt-in for more info.

My suggestion to you is to first get something they want, then second add all three methods to present the info through out the TE’s. Then third… test each one and see which generates the highest return on investment.

Okay, now here’s the most important tip in getting results from promoting in the TE’s.

After setting up a product you believe they will want, and implementing all three advertising methods and sending about 10,000 unique visitors to those pages… if you don’t see people opt-in or get a sale… Then Stop! That’s it… quit wasting your time. You’re right… Traffic Exchanges Are a Waste of Time.

I bet that won’t happen! Actually, I’ve had so much success using the TE’s I know that won’t happen. And if it does…please let me know and I will take the time to explain why it didn’t happen and show you what you did wrong or why it didn’t work for you.

Don’t believe me… prove me wrong today… I double dog dare ya! :o)

Program Launches?

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

New program launches seem to be happening a lot this year. Some very interesting new scripts, programs, tools and of course the never ending new e-books, etc.

Some of these tools and scripts I’ve personally added to my business. Several I’ve purchased and honestly haven’t had the time to use yet. :) No problem, have them, will get around to making use of them when the need arises.

Program launches are usually done by inviting a few of your friends, marketers that you’ve gotten to know online. Program owners want others to review their product, give their opinions, testimonials. Most of the time this is referred to as a JV team (JV=Joint Venture). As a reward for reviewing and giving their opinions, the JV team is then given prior notice when the launch will officially take place.

Doing a major launch with JV members is a huge asset. Usually each JV Partner has a list of subscribers or other resources to basically get the word out about this new program. This is a great help to the program owner since he has spent so much time and usually lots of money to create the program in preparation for launch. Of course that is if the program or service has any value? :)

For example, Soaring4Traffic had a small launch team, approx 17 members that were responsible for referring about 500 members in the first 2 days after launch. This was a great boost enabling the Eagles to begin soaring quickly. We are still very grateful for their help. Since that time, our awesome members have taken the lead, continually referring more members each day to maintain the growth which is so important for an effective traffic exchange.

That was really just a personal experience to show the impact that a well planned launch can have, just think we did a small launch with only 17 people.

Now when you ask people you know to help you launch your program and hopefully you picked people you’ve gotten to know and trust, you feel obligated when they create a product for launch. Thankfully, I’ve made some good friends and should they ask for help, feel very comfortable whatever they’ve created will have real value. But, I will still test first!

But what if, in your opinion, the product was worthless, had no real value? Would you still promote something you didn’t believe in or use? Would you make statements, testimonials, write letters promoting something falsely, just to make money? What would that do to your reputation the next time you recommended something?

I’m sure many online business owners have been confronted with this very situation. I haven’t yet, not that well known. :) Have seen instances where I felt the only reason “Mr. Guru” was promoting a product was to return favors and make some money in the process. To me this totally dilutes the testimonial and recommendations of these marketers. Opinions vary but that’s my personal take.

Should this problem ever present itself to me, think my approach would be a sincere personal letter to the owner declining to be involved with my specific reasons why, and maybe even suggestions for improvement if I had any. If there is one thing you can take from this article, hopefully it’s that your reputation on the Internet is very important.

Have I ever promoted affiliate programs that were duds? Yep, sorry to say I have. Especially when I first logged on to the Internet and was grasping for the get rich quick schemes. Thought I had done my home work, looked really good but didn’t know enough to investigate all the facts. Learned my lessons the hard way by ending up with an empty wallet. :(

Most people that have taken the time to know me realize that my interest is mainly resources, tools, scripts, products that make your online experience easier. Programs that offer real value in teaching others the correct way to progress with their online career. Programs that offer advertising with details of how best to get it done. Systems with enough detail and training that whatever your level of expertise, it’s still understandable.

Programs with a responsive owner, full support should a question arise. And of course they all have to be priced fairly and maybe include a free level of participation for those just not sure.

With all that said, my prayer is that Soaring4Traffic does provide the training and necessary tools for anyone to understand and use. Should that not be the case, please let me know.

Frankly, what prompted me to write this article is a new program launch in less than a week. One that I have known about for a few months. One that I’ve been lucky enough to have a look inside, get the details, find out how it works and why it’s needed. A program that will be widely used for years to come. Even if you think you’re not ready for it yet, there will come a time when you feel the necessity for what it can do should you continue your pursuit for online success.

Want you to understand that when you see my name on a product or service, I use it and believe in it!

Now why would I offer to look at something new? First it was created by a couple of guys I trust! One I know better than the other. Every one of his current programs I use in my business. Secondly because he and the program meet all the criteria I have explained above. Third because I think it has great value, it has the training and full support needed, which I’ve already seen.

Also know that it’s not something whipped together over night to make money, it was over 2 years in development and thousands of dollars spent.

Keep in mind, this is not an offer for anyone to start sending me the latest, greatest online money maker they have come up with. Frankly, I don’t have the time to evaluate properly, plus I would have to know you and your values first. Have enough on my plate already. Staying on top of Soaring4Traffic and making it the best it can be is my main focus. Hope that didn’t sound rude, not meant to be, just stating facts. :)

Wish I could let you look at it right now. Sorry, I can’t so please don’t ask. Keeping my promise not to expose until the actual launch date. Still has a couple of minor cosmetic issues to fix.

Just wanted you to know basically how a new program launch works. Also wanted you to think before leaping on any new product, no matter who’s writing the “Testimonials?” Heck, you might not even have a use for it.

My name will be attached to this one, so my reputation is on the line. Feel very confident about this program! Know it will help me be a more efficient marketer, maybe you will find some good uses for it also?

As always, your comments welcome!

Ten Seconds of Fame

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

The 10 second timer seems now to be the standard for most traffic exchanges. Yes, some might have an 8 second timer, others run specials at 6 seconds or even 5 sometimes but less than 10 seconds in my opinion is not a valid view of your site.

Soaring4Traffic has adapted the 10 second timer for all accounts. Ten seconds we feel is fair both as you’re surfing and as an ample amount of time for your site to be seen.

There are some points you need to consider however. We have always advised everyone to use splash pages, or at least pages that will load within 3 to 5 seconds. Even if the timer is 30 seconds or more, sites that don’t load within the first few seconds are likely to be by passed anyway.

Remember, an average surfer is surfing to build credits for his/her own site to be seen. Some of us are looking for products, tools, training, information that will improve our own business. Most of the products or services I’ve added to my portfolio has come from traffic exchanges. Many of the subscribers lists I’m on came from traffic exchanges. Most of the information that I know today came from traffic exchanges. All this before I owned one, and still today I look for more.

The tools I now use online, the training I’ve received, the resources and people I’ve gotten to know have basically all come from traffic exchanges. How did they get me on their list? How did they convince me to buy their product or use their service?

By utilizing the Ten Seconds of Fame theory! In other words, the pages they used were attractive, short, sweet and to the point. They didn’t try to sell me something while I was surfing but rather encouraged me to either sign up to get more information and or click to see what they were offering. Of course the lure of a free product to take a look at their site was in play at times. :)

Pages that attract me are ones that give me 3,4, or 5 reasons why I need the product, and an easy way to get it without interrupting my surfing. Of course, sometimes I just opened the page and saved it to my favorites for later review if it was interesting enough.

My point to this is simple. Basically you only have a few seconds to attract attention. Do you have your name, image, logo, or subscribe form on your site? Does your site load quickly enough? Is it unique, different, attract attention? It might actually take 10 times for someone to see your site before they commit to anything. If they continually see it, over and over with your name, logo, image, people will get familar with you, remember they’ve seen you before.

Recognition plays a huge role in your online success. People buy from people they know and trust.

Building your image for recognition on traffic exchanges should be one of your main objectives. Combined with building your list by adding a subscribe form to your page. If you concentrate on those two objectives alone, your success and conversions using traffic exchanges should increase.

Keep in mind, you have 10 seconds to impress, 10 seconds to attract, use your 10 seconds wisely!

That’s my thoughts and opinions, what attracts me might not be attractive to you. Hence, the reason we continue to change, test, try different methods, different looks, and different ways to attract others. Advertising with traffic exchanges is no different than offline or other online methods. Just a whole lot less expensive. One difference is that with traffic exchanges you have a captive audience, now go impress them. :)

Traffic exchanges can make you famous, but you only have TEN seconds to do it!

Would love to have your comments, suggestions and maybe some ideas of what has or has not worked for you.
